Plot: A New World 5 Years Later
Set 5 years after the events of Jurassic World: Dominion, the dinosaur population has mostly perished — they were never meant to survive outside their original ecosystem. A single tropical island harbors the last surviving specimens, each carrying genetic secrets that could save millions of human lives. A covert team is sent to extract DNA samples, but when they arrive, they discover the island is far more dangerous than anyone imagined.
New Dinosaurs
Rebirth introduces 4 new species never seen in previous films:
- Mosasaurus Giganteus — deeper ocean predator, larger than the original
- Disterheftia — pack hunter with bioluminescent communication
- Aerotitan — massive flying predator, 3x wingspan of the Pteranodon
- Spinoceratops — hybrid-looking species discovered on the island
Critical Reception
With a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes (early screenings), Rebirth is being called "the best Jurassic film since the 1993 original." Gareth Edwards' atmospheric direction and David Koepp's callback to survival horror have struck gold.
