The Battle of the Gullet

Season 3's centrepiece is the Battle of the Gullet — a catastrophic naval engagement where the Triarchy's fleet devastates the Velaryon armada. Expect:

• Massive dragon vs. fleet sequences
• The deaths of characters you've grown to love
• Rhaenyra's children in mortal danger
• Daemon Targaryen at his most ruthless

The production team reportedly spent more on this single battle than any sequence in Game of Thrones history.

Cast Returns

• Emma D'Arcy as Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen
• Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen
• Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower
• Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon II
• Ewan Mitchell as Aemond Targaryen (fan favourite)

New Characters

Season 3 introduces several major characters from Fire & Blood including the Three Daughters (Lys, Myr, and Tyrosh) who control the Triarchy, and expands the role of Corlys Velaryon's bastard children.
